How accurate is a free Amazon FBA profit calculator?
It is accurate on the parts Amazon publishes. Referral fee percentages and FBA fulfilment rates are fixed, published numbers, so the fee maths is exact. What it cannot know is your real landed cost, return rate or storage duration, so treat the margin as a planning figure and re-check it in Seller Central before you buy stock.
What is a good profit margin for Amazon FBA?
Most sellers target 20% net margin and 50% ROI or better after all fees, ads and returns. Below 15% net margin a single fee increase, a bad return month or a price war can wipe the product out. Above 30% net usually means a niche with little competition, which rarely stays that way for long.
How do I find the ASIN of an Amazon product?
The ASIN is the ten character code in the product URL, straight after /dp/ or /gp/product/. It also appears in the Product Information table near the bottom of the listing. To collect many at once, paste your links or the copied page into the ASIN Extractor above and it pulls out every unique ASIN.
How long can an Amazon product title be?
Amazon allows 200 characters in most categories, but search results show roughly the first 80 on desktop and fewer on mobile, so put the buying keyword before character 80. Promotional words such as Best, Sale or Free Shipping, and exclamation marks, can get a listing suppressed.
What is the Amazon backend search term byte limit?
Amazon indexes 250 bytes of backend search terms per listing and silently drops everything past it, with no warning in Seller Central. Bytes, not characters, so accented and non-Latin letters cost more than one. Do not repeat words already in your title, and skip commas, because Amazon splits on spaces.
